The most important this will attract a lot of hummingbirds to your garden! - KEEPING THE PUMP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE BIRD BATH: Our company has designed a retainer to avoid the random movement of the solar fountain pump. It prevents the solar powered water fountain from spraying water outside the bath and empties water quickly. Reduce the frequency of refilling with water

If your bird bath is relatively small, it is recommended that you do not use any nozzles. Using the bubble mode can effectively prevent water from splashing out

Overall it does what it advertises and itβs been running great for me so far. It looks nice in the black bowl with pebbles I placed it in and blends in well. The battery life is very good so far and I havenβt had any issues since purchasing it a few weeks ago.
The only negative I can think of is that itβs very lightweight and small (which some people might like), so it floats around and isnβt stationary in the large bowl I placed it in. The water can shoot up very high as well may or may not be a plus for some people. Putting in less water helps regulate it.
Itβs under direct sun all day on my deck (havenβt tested with partial shade) and continuously shoots out water until it gets low, so I would say it works very well for a small solar fountain!

For some wild reason, my wife wanted a birdbath with a fountain. As a compromise, I ordered this thing and am very happy with it.
Though the instructions aren’t very clear, i was able to put it together (not too hard) and drop it into a birdbath. It immediately shot up water about a foot high. Unfortunately, even with a slight breeze, it dried out the 1.5 gallon birdbath in a short while. I opted for a nozzle that shot water sideways instead of up and that worked fine. Though it came with a wide variety of nozzles, I was unable to find one that shot water up only a few inches.
Overall though, this product does what it claims to do and I am very happy with it.

On all settings the water jet, especially on sunny days is fantastic. Butβ-the jet is so vigorous it overshoots the 12β diameter bath I purchased on this site with the jet. Within an hour all the water was out of the fountain onto the soil. 2nd mistake: I cut the plastic sticks too short so it canβt be clamped in place (my fault not the product. I am unsure how to solve the water loss problemβkeep it in the shade, buy a bigger waterbath, try reorder the plastic rod, donβt cut, and weight them down with rocks.

This fountain is run by solar power so it was easy to set up and use, and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. No batteries are needed. As soon as it had sun exposure, the fountain worked beautifully. The water flowed up into a pretty pattern and fell back down. It sounds nice too with its calming trickle. This fountain seems durable and I believe it will last for many years. Since it floats in water, it does move around a little, so itβs nice that it also comes with small arms to keep it in place.

The extra power is helpful. Better than the lower watt models. Only complaint is that is stopped working after a few weeks. Filter was clean. Sun was out. I was planning on returning it and then thought I’d just smack it on the concrete. A few hard taps on the concrete with the motor and it works again! So please try this. Don’t smack the solar panel. Smack the motor. Birds are happy again!
